Evaluation
After we finished our Preliminary task and created our video me, Tommy Brading, Emily Rawles and Brooke Spencer evaluated another groups video whilst Dan Grayer, Ben Lecky and Brandon Chan evaluated ours.
This was the evaluation Criteria;
- Match on action
- Shot reverse shot
- Keep to the 180 degree rule
- Variety of shots
- Clean editing
- Clear Narrative
- Good sound
- Close attention to Mise-en-scene
- Controlled use of camera
What we did well
In our Prelim we had good use of match on action and also shot reverse shot, we had very good close attention to mise-en-scene and very good sound. We included a range of different shots from the beginning to the end of the clip and our editing was very clean as all of the shots and scenes flowed nicely and there was good transition between shots. The narrative was clear as it could be seen that two business men were having a important meeting in a office and this could be seen by our smart costumes and also the fact that i was sat at a desk doing filing showed this as well.What we could improve
In our film our 180 degree rule was a little off and at the start there was one shot that was shaky so our controlled use of camera and 180 rule could have been better. Also in the room there was a few posters and so on which spoiled the setting a little and it would have been a lot better if we had taken down these posters or used a different room. Apart from that our clip was very good however i think we should have spent a little more time planning things like the script and where we were going to film because this could have improved the film a little more and made it look more professional if we had a clearer idea of our final goal.
